Balanced Budget – Fail
…but they sure can roll it together when budget shortfalls threaten to turn off the Government’s lights (even if they are in the shape of curly fries)
The US Senate continues to show its dysfunctional state of operation by showing that it can’t do one simple thing without overcomplicating the issue. At the center, the Balanced Budget Amendment prevents Congress from doing what normal people have no choice but to do – spend less than we take in and to show fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars. But rather than just promote a simple bill that would have started the process, both parties had to add in riders so they feel like they are getting something that they want.
Republican Bill (defeated 47-53)
- 2/3ds majority vote on raising taxes
- Spending limit 18% of GDP
Democrat Bill (defeated 12-79)
- Prohibit lowering taxes on millionaires
- Lock-box Social Security
Don’t get me wrong – I like the idea of restricting tax raises and controlling spending through caps. But perhaps it would be a good idea to just write a simple amendment and send it out to the states, rather than playing games.
The stupidest thing said in this process came from Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt) made this statement: “I wish those who so often say they revere the Constitution would show it the respect it deserves rather than treating it like a blog entry.”
Uhh, excuse me Pat, but who is “those who so often say”? Are you talking about Democrats, Republicans, or your “living Constitution” brethren? By the way, the Founders didn’t say that the Constitution could never be changed, but rather, just put tight controls to keep it from being changed capriciously (like you say, “like a blog entry”). Now unfortunately, The Rabid Conservative doesn’t get updated as much as it should, but saying this process is anything like that, well, your objections are seriously far-fetched, dude.
However, I think the GOP seems to be more in touch with this than the Dems here, since the results of the GOP bill were along party lines while over 30 Democrats voted against their own bill – unless there are over 30 Dems who just don’t believe in fiscal policies like a balanced budget. Either way, to me, the Dems own this budgetary mess, since they lack the real mettle to fix it. And fixing it doesn’t mean the fallacy of taxing the rich into oblivion, since taking 100% of the rich’s earnings won’t even fix it.
So, no Balanced Budget Amendment from our do-nothing Congress. The losers in this aren’t the Republicans or Democrats – it’s all of us outside the Beltway who continue to watch the Government spend itself into oblivion and can’t make a simple piece of legislation without twenty policy riders.
Last night, the Congress though decided that it would be a really bad thing if it had to turn the lights off because they couldn’t spend money. So, faced with another $900 billion or so in spending, Congress throws together another big bill in darn near the dead of night.
But like Congress, policy riders abound, such as whether or not incadendescent light bulbs were legal, whether contractors had to disclose their political contributions, or issues over nuclear waste. Once again, Congress has to play games rather than doing the actual work of governance.
And as I write this, I see:
Do-Nothing Congress -> DNC -> Democrat National Convention
Coincidence? I think not.
Obama’s Numbers Put Him on Worst President Track
I have always maintained that polls are for Democrats and strippers.
Well, Gallup has released the latest numbers for President Obama’s job approval and it has fallen below that of President Carter’s during this point of his presidency. In fact, Obama’s numbers are the lowest of all presidents since WWII. That’s gotta hurt, but it feels like 1979 all over again.
Of course, the question on everyone’s minds there is who is going to be the next Ronald Reagan? But that’s another discussion for another day.
The thing is, all the hope and change that Obama promised Americans three years ago has all been a big pile of BS, kinda like the tattoo that got affixed to Rossie Brovent’s back. Obama’s presidency, the insane amount of regulation without Congressional approval, as well as the lack of action from the Do-Nothing Congress has led to an economy that is just as troubled if not more so than that of Carter’s day. Obama has not exhibited any serious leadership or been the example of American greatness that all the Obamadrones made him to be.
I suspect the falloff is that more and more people are seeing that Obama doesn’t see the same America is those of us who eschew things like socialism. Obama and the democrat machine sold us a bill of goods that if we just entrust them with our blessings of liberty, we would be better off. The country signed that bill in November 2006 and now are seeing some serious buyers remorse.
While we conservatives see an America where those who are willing to work and achive through their own blood, sweat and tears rise above the herd, Obama’s view is filled with the drones of the OWS crowd, as they sell drugs, defecate in the street after having sex in the bushes, congregate in places and refuse to leave when law enforcement tells them too (claiming police brutality), allowing the lawless, unaccomplished dependents of the government spigot to reign as they claim they are “the 99%”.
While we on the right believe in Martin Luther King Jr.’s idea of judging people by the content of character, rather than the color of their skin, Obama’s idea is to allow class warfare, racism, and moral lapse to be acceptable practice and status quo in the civil discourse. While we believe society’s winners should be honored, Obama’s ilk deride them because “they cheated”, making the corporations the enemy and the government as the almighty savior.
This is one set of polling numbers I’m glad to see. America as a nation can’t survive much more of the lib-crat socialistic agenda. It’s worse than Carter’s day.
Un-Doctored Photo: Not Hiring Until Obama Gone
This has got to be the most awesome picture I’ve seen all week and company policy statement I have seen all year.

West Georgia business owner Bill Looman of US Crane, LLC is one of many very frustrated business owners who simply cannot hire people because the government’s insane policies, inabilities to balance its books, and the looming threat of Obamacare are slamming the door on the ability for small biz owners to add new people to the payroll.
Watch out, Bill. The Occupy rabble may end up in your parking lot complaining about how you’re part of the problem. But if they put up a tent, you can always use a crane and lift it away.
Tongue-in-Cheek My Eye
This is another one of those shining examples of how there is a clear double-standard with respect to liberals.
I don’t typically watch late night television. In general, I don’t watch a lot of over-the-air TV because it’s really all just a bunch of over-sexualized unintelligent, adolescent crap anyway. So it’s no surprise that a stunt like what was pulled on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with respect to Michelle Bachmann’s appearance would be par for the course.
In case you missed it, the band for the show played a couple bars from Fishbone’s song, “Lying A** B*tch”, substituting “la-la” for the rather distasteful lyrics to what would actually be rather upbeat tune. Basically the song tells the story of a woman who laments the fact that another woman took her man, calling her the title of the song. The drummer, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson claims it was a last-minute, tongue-in-cheek thing.
But his comments on Twitter suggest that the whole thing was premeditated. Thompson wrote, “aight late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title.”
There’s snarky and then there’s just plain offensive. If Thompson didn’t understand this with his pea-brain carpeted with an enormous unkempt afro, then perhaps the local elementary school down the street can give him a class on basic personal courtesy.
But the larger issue isn’t over some scumbag making snarky comments towards someone – we see that all the time, primarily from the left. What is sad about all of this is the gross double-standard presented by the left when it comes to strong conservative right-wing women. There is no way a talk show like this would ever dream of playing such a song for Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, or Michelle Obama but they will do that mess in a second against Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin and not even blink an eye.
So where is the National Organization for Women? Where is the outrage from the loony left? There isn’t any. Why? They heartily agree by their silence.
Democrats don’t represent strong people; they represent weak people who seek protection and comfort from the almighty state. When strong conservative women show how they can be both politically strong, morally upright, and down-to-earth human, they expose the weaknesses and frailties of their liberal counterparts.
iUnion?
There is a disturbance in the Force somewhere…
So this is odd. Turns out an interesting story broke about how the retail reps at the Apple store are now looking to unionize. Steve Jobs is scarcely a month gone and retail employees of Apple, devoid of their charismatic leader, are now on the move to form the Apple Retailers Works Union, to stand up against unfair wages while they peddle the latest iPad and iPhone.
No thanks. I have a fire-sold TouchPad and am going to migrate to an Asus slate for testing. I don’t fruit the technology.
Curious.
While technology isn’t especially a liberal or conservative thing, in my experience, Apple tends to project a more liberal slant. I guess someone can look at the political contributions of Apple Corporation and see what the numbers are. I suspect they’re pretty high.
Which makes me also wonder why the floor salespeople are now feeling the need to unionize against Apple Corporation for unfair wages, an act that is very much liberal, particularly in light of all the OWS stuff going on.
Maybe someone slipped something into my morning coffee, but it’s all very weird to me to see liberal entitlement drones going after what I’ve always seen as a liberal company.
Occupy + Peaceably Assemble = Epic Fail
The OWS drones are still at it, unfortunately. They continue to carry on the belief that they represent the people, the 99%. And the Main Stream Media continuously ignores the fact that they are doing what they blamed the Tea Party from doing. The MSM (except for FoxNews) continuously painted the Tea Party as a bunch of racist hatemongers, rioting and protesting with hate rhetoric. Yet, we continue to see over and over that the OWS crowd is doing the things that they attempt to apply to the Tea Party and guess what, the MSM glosses over it.
But out here on the very biased right-wing Rabid Conservative. we won’t let it pass. Whether it be protesters selling crack cocaine, having sex in the bushes, pushing old ladies to the pavement and sending them to the hospital, or, as seen in the photos below, defacing public and private property, whatever OWS is preaching gets drowned out in the walk-the-walk rhetoric of how they are acting. I still challenge anyone to provide any evidence that these kinds of things happened at any Tea Party rally.
The one good thing of all of this is that OWS, who probably worships Obama as the High Pontiff of Entitlement, will probably be one of the lib-crats greatest liabilities. I can’t waif for November 2012.

Wells Fargo under Assault

Chase Bank sees the same damage

Bank of America too

Whole Foods tells patrons to leave their signs outside, so that’s exactly what OWS did.
More defacement

Still believe OWS is like the Tea Party?
Police brutality? Some would call that Code Enforcement.

Instead of Occupy Everything, their motto should be Deface Everything

The Tea Party actually loves the police. OWS, on the other hand, has a different view. Love the Polaroid, by the way.

Oakland Blockade – I guess these chaps didn’t make the cut for the Oakland Raiders front line, so they’re doing this now.

The opposite of Capitalism, folks, is socialism. So, if these people hate capitalism, what does that make them?

And where there is socialism, communism is soon to follow. Perhaps the lib-crats should be the “red” and the GOP goes “blue”, might be more fitting that way.
Wage slavery indeed – it’s called a paycheck you idiots, provided for hard work and contribution, something commies know very little about.

War, racism, and poverty – because Communism worked so very well in the USSR, right?

And let’s not leave out the union hacks putting in their 2¢…

Jimmy Hoffa would be so proud, right?

Teaching kids to be good little socialists – an atrocity in it’s own right; these kids have no clue what this is about – not much different than the mindless drones holding their hands. But aren’t they so cute??

Cop-hating Rapper Boots Riley adding more “class” to this “act” with his hit, “5 Million Ways to Kill a CEO”. Of course, it looks like to me Riley is taking a gander at the girl’s backside – another rapper favorite pastime. (Sir Mix-a-Lot would be proud),

The “Other 99%” Would Do the Same Thing
I’ve not really commented much on the rather silly and meaningless “Occupy” protests going on around the country because it’s really nothing more than a class warfare stunt designed to crucify those 1% of Americans that have been successful in business. In times of economic chaos, it is inevitable that people with complain and gripe. It happened in the 70’s and 80’s; it’s nothing new.
My beautiful bride even made a comment to me as I was writing this: It’s just like Rome. When the people weren’t fat, happy, and entertained, they rebelled against the government and society in general. I think she’s right because the human condition hasn’t changed since Adam and Eve decided it would be good to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Essentially, what these protesters are saying is that the wealth is ill-gotten and it needs to be spread around. They have bought into the Marxist lie of government-mandated fairness.
Now, as a student of human nature and the like, I have found that greed is a trait that permeates throughout the entire of human race, not just a subset of them that have money. I’ve personally seen greed in my own life and in the lives of those around me. None of us are rich, so I would suspect that these Occupy protests are nothing more than the “have-not”’s showing their own greed.
It reminds me of this scene from the 1989 movie Batman:
Hubba Hubba Hubba Money Money Money
I bet the Occupiers would love the Joker to roll in on his float and drop $20 million on the crowd.
Why aren’t the Occupy Flea-baggers going after Hollywood celebrities that are ridiculously rich, or after professional athletes/ Why is their wrath exclusively directed at those who have demonstrated the ability, cunning, timing and luck in business?
What, do we think that these Hollywood morons get their millions because they possess some supernatural ability to act? Or is it because of the Writers Guild that controls whether new talent can actually make it to the silver screen?
Or what about the recent players revolt in the NFL and the current player revolt in the NBA? What, do these players deserve $20 million a year because they can throw a stupid football around? But they get it because of the NFL Player’s Union that beats the NFL team owners down every year for more money.
The thing is, these idiots, if provided with the same elements to make mega-millions, would do the exact same thing! Many of these people have their own little businesses out there, selling products or trying to do something to chase that dream of capitalism. Unfortunately, their dream hasn’t cashed in. So, they gripe and complain, out of greed, anger and frustration to anyone who will listen to their “I-didn’t-lose-they-cheated” gibberish.
Humans are greed-infested creatures. Not 1% of them, but 100% of them.
Gov. Perdue’s Jocularity – Fail
Today, North Carolina governor Bev Perdue made the stupid
"I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that…you want people who don’t worry about the next election." – Gov. Bev Perdue
Actually, Bev, we do. We want Congressional members and elected officials to quake in their boots (or wing-tipped shoes) over the notion that they are going to get the voter-sponsored ouster from office. This is precisely the reason why we have elections – because if they do something in office that the public does not like, the people have the right to remove them from office. This is a very sacred thing in our Republic.
We all get the gist of why Ms. Perdue made her statement – because Congress members are so worried that they might be elected out of office that they are consumed with that, rather than doing the business of legislating.
However, for her to even make that statement, even in jocularity, shows that she might not have much reverence for the structure of our country.
Democrats and Republicans are in general agreement these days that Congress is basically dysfunctional because of partisan bickering and political posturing. However the bigger question at present is before the Democrats – how will 2012 affect Democratic chances for any sort of significant piece of the political action from 2013-2015? Right now, President Obama is losing his base in droves. Democratic senators in 17 races are looking like they might have to face significant opposition – some of which will lose. With only four seats needed to take control of the Senate, it looks like Thanksgiving next year is going to be really dismal for the Democrats. And if New York HD9 indicates anything, the Democrats are in real trouble.
Perdue’s comment represents the emerging frustration of Democrats as they see their chances to further their agenda slip away and that’s got to be crushing because they are squandering their opportunities that they have for a shot at the future and that shot is becoming less possible.
Not that I’m complaining because the Democrats have done far enough.
More So-Called Racism – and a Stupid Hat
Yet another racist representative has marginalized herself with silly rants about how the world is unfair to people who have melanin in their skin. Today, Rep Fredrica Wilson (D-FL) griped about how the unemployment rate was due to racism and blamed the Tea Party, calling them the enemy (and racists too).
She yammered on about how the Tea Party is singularly focused on making Obama a one-term president.
I only have one word for her: DUH!
We Tea Partiers never wanted Obama to begin with. We warned you about how he was going to sink the economy with his stupid liberal progressivism and he proved us right. We warned how he would be weak on terror and we were again proven right – even though he was never able to deliver on any sort of exit strategy for Iraq and Afghanistan, although he griped about it during the campaign. And despite his promise to close down Gitmo, well, that didn’t happen either. I guess that’s because keeping it open wasn’t such a bad idea.
So, yes, Ms. Wilson, we want Obama to go down in history as a one-term loser like Jimmy Carter. We want Obama to fail, because, like Rush said, America succeeds when Obama fails. More essentially, we just want Obama to go down.
By the way, what the crap is with her stupid looking red hat? I mean, how on earth is anyone supposed to take you seriously when you’re wearing a costume that you would wear when sitting for a photo at Glamour Shots?
You really need to fire your wardrobe advisor – or get one if you’re the one putting that get-up on.
What a moron. Good people of Florida, vote her out. Instead of answers, she provides gripes and blame. That is totally useless.
Kinda like her hat. Man she’s stupid looking.
Marx-ine Waters Tells Tea Party to Go to Hell
Another Democrat shows that when frustration sets in and things give tough, they get nasty and uncivil.
I am not a fan of Maxine Waters.
- She’s been suspected of corruption by using her office to help companies and other organizations that directly benefitted in over a million dollars in profit for her family member, namely her son and daughter.
- She was cited by Citizens Against Public Waste in 2009 for trying to nail down an earmark for the “Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center”. Left-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) called her out on three separate occasions as being one of the most corrupt in Congress.
- She currently is under House Ethics investigation for her role in racial-cronyism by trying to save the OneUnited Bank, which received $12M in TARP money, which donated over $12,000 to her campaign coffers, and which her husband is an investor.
- She threatened the CEO’s of America’s largest oil companies of nationalizing and taking them over.
- She had the audacity to cite Republicans and Tea Partiers for name-calling, overrunning the Capitol, inciting radical groups like Code Pink, and being out of control, yet she does precisely the same thing during a socialist rally.
The latest stroke, however, comes as she was ranting on in her usual form to a group of SEIU-backed constituents. There’s nothing wrong with showing grit in the face of opposition. However, when she tells the Tea Party to go straight to hell, regardless of how
But then, we should expect that kind of unprofessional, un-statesman-like conduct from Democrats, considering that a couple of weeks back, they were calling the Tea Party a group of “terrorists”.
No, Ms. Waters, we’re not going to hell. We’re going to take your own advice, not be intimidated by the likes of socialists like you, and, instead of appealing to the forces of hell, we’re going to pray to the God in Heaven that He blesses you immeasurably.
The thing is, many of the Tea Party members that I’ve met are God-fearing, Christian people who just want government to do only what it is supposed to do and stay out of people’s way. Maxine Waters doesn’t believe this, perhaps because she’s, at best, a Christian ‘adherent”. In other words, she calls herself Christian, but it’s highly unlikely she follows Christ in any way.
Anyone who does would not tell anyone to go to hell, since they would know full well the implications of what hellfire truly is. But I guess if it’s good for votes among socialists and SEIU union drones.
